Priced at $9.95, Costco’s whole pizzas are popular and wait times for a pizza can be long. Taking a page from Disney, Costco is introducing a “skip-the-line” option where customers can pay $4.95 more to bypass all the other waiting customers.
“I couldn’t figure it out,” father of three hungry kids, Alonzo Renfield, said. “We’ve been waiting sixty minutes, and they keep telling me the next Pepperoni is mine but then someone walks right up and takes it.”
“We didn’t want to raise the price on our pizzas,” Manager Rona Goodings explained. “And we lose money on every pizza, so this way we can squeeze a little more out of our customers. It works great at Disneyland. No one there seems to mind other guests paying to get in front of them.”
While Goodings would not confirm other changes, rumors are that Costco will be creating a “fast-pass” line for customers returning purchases but willing to get only 90% of their money back.
