Many churches now simulcast their worship services so that members of the congregation can worship at home when not able to attend. This has many benefits including:
You can eat your bowl of Cheerios during the pastor’s welcome and no one can see the milk dribbling down your chin.
No plates of delicious Costco muffin segments tempting you to break your pledge to eat better – 4 segments do equal a whole muffin, you know.
The pastor can’t see your blank look when reminding the congregation of the theme of the 10 part series that will end today.
You don’t have to greet people for the hundredth time and still not know their names.
You can make up your own words to the worship songs to amuse yourself.
No temporary deafness if you get stuck in a seat by one of the giant speakers in your contemporary service.
No guilt inducing offering plate passed around.
You can write your overdue blog post at the same time you are “worshiping.”
