With growing calls for President Biden to withdraw from the race, the implications of who would replace him have Dems reconsidering their commitment to DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) hiring.
When it was pointed out that Kamala Harris is the natural choice given that Democrats have pushed DEI hiring, Democrat responses were varied.
“Hoo boy,” anonymous high ranking Democrat #1 said.
“Well, DEI is fine and good for like teachers, CEOs, neurosurgeons, pilots, and jobs like that, but, I mean…I’m trying to say…this is the presidency!” anonymous high ranking Democrat #2 said.
“What she’s trying to say is that, being President is important not like…not that being a doctor isn’t…or driving a truck…or teaching your kids…it’s just different…you have to know what you’re doing…someone help me out here,” said anonymous high ranking Democrat #3.
Vice President Kamala Harris was clear in her support of sticking to DEI promotion.
“The time to practice our principles is now, and that time is every day, which is now, which is a timely time to begin everyday.”
At a public event, Dr. Jill Biden continued to insist that the President would not step aside and is as cognitively fit as ever.
“Just this morning he ate all of his oatmeal without coaxing, got his Cocoa Puffs reward, remembered to take a shower, and I only had to remind him twice to brush his teeth. That’s the Joe we all know and love…Honey, your fly is open again.”
