While ABC repeatedly refused to give in to the Harris campaign demands to change the debate rules and keep the microphone’s open, the network finally did agree to make the debate multiple choice

Modeled after Dana Bash’s approach in the Vice President’s only interview, the ABC moderators will ask questions, and then provide possible answers. ABC supplied a sample question.

MS. VICE PRESIDENT, PREVIOUSLY YOU PROMISED TO BAN FRACKING, BUT MORE RECENTLY YOUR SURROGATES HAVE CLAIMED THAT YOU WILL NOT BAN FRACKING. WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING BEST REPRESENTS YOUR POSITION?

a. I’m glad you asked that since there has been much confusion on my position. If we had more time I would respond in more detail.

b. I have, and always will be, supportive of what is best for our country’s energy future while staying true to my values and continuing to protect our environment.

c. Technological developments have made clean fracking possible, therefore it is time to take another look at fracking, and that time is now.

ABC also provided an example of a multiple choice question for former President Trump.

MR. TRUMP, IN 2020 YOU INCITED AN INSURRECTION THAT KILLED THREE POLICE OFFICERS, AND SIX CIVILIANS WHILE PUSHING OUR DEMOCRACY TO THE BRINK. IF YOU LOSE AGAIN, WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING BEST REPRESENTS YOUR RESP0NSE?

a. This time we’ll get the insurrection right. Same plan as before, but bring your guns this time.

b. It was not an insurrection, it was a riot. A beautiful riot. The world has never seen a more beautiful riot. It was a perfect riot. They all said that. Perfect.

At press time, ABC had not responded to the Trump campaign demand that just before the debate Kamala Harris be subjected to a full body cavity search for hidden receivers which her campaign handlers would use to help her choose her answers.
