With the start of summer, people begin to get the primal urge to get in touch with nature and the nation’s campgrounds begin to fill up.

“My whole family loves camping,” Ron Totown, said, sitting in the living room of his motor home. “The kids just love getting out of the city and into the wilderness.”

While a meridian-street.com reporter conducted the interview, Bob’s three children were playing video games.

“Used to be the kids would whine every time we tried to get them to go camping because we might not have internet access, but since we got Starlink it’s not been a problem,” Totown said. “Thank you Elon Musk.”

At that point Bob’s wife came in, adjusted the air conditioning, refilled her wine glass, took her laptop off a charger, and then returned to the master bedroom. As the interview continued, Bob got a cold beer out of the refrigerator.

“Start the fire, we want s’mores,” the kids started chanting.

Bob immediately relented, turned on the electric fireplace, then passed out graham crackers, marshmallows and Hershey bars so the kids could assemble raw s’mores and then put them in the microwave to melt together.

As the interview was wrapping up, Bob shared that they were thinking of taking the kids down to the lake in the morning so they could see it.

“If it’s not too hot,” Bob said. “We just love nature.”
