After getting passed by both the Senate and the House, Trump signed his Big Beautiful Bill. Immediately, a Massachusetts District Judge blocked some of the spending cuts included in the bill.
“Just because the Executive Branch and the Legislative Branch pass a law, it isn’t really a law until I say it’s a law,” Judge Indira Talwani said.
When it was pointed out that passing laws is the actual function of the legislative and executive branches, Talawani disagreed.
“If we let Senators and Congresspersons collude with the President, we’ll lose our Democracy,” Talawani said.
Shortly after that the Supreme Court blocked Talawani’s injunction. Immediately Talawani issued another ruling invalidating the Supreme Court’s actions.
“Now the Supreme Court Justices are part of the coup,” Talawani said.
Next, the Trump administration sued to block Talawani’s block of the Supreme Court, which blocked Talawani’s earlier block of the Trump administration implementing the budget cutting portion of the BBB which was passed by both the House and the Senate and signed by President Trump.*
Then, a District Judge in South Dakota blocked Talawani’s block of the Supreme Court because it was “stupid.” Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson immediately disagreed, calling Talawani’s incomprehensible rulings, “brilliant.”
At publishing time Justice Amy Coney Barrett had begun wearing a paper bag with eye holes to hide her judicial embarrassment.
*Seriously, we can’t keep up with all of this.
