Bidenopoly. This special version of Monopoly is based on Biden’s presidency, allowing players to revisit the highlights. Here are some of the changes from classic Monopoly.

There is no bank. All the money comes from the government which has an unlimited supply of currency. Whichever player is “Secretary of the Treasury” can tax the other players if there is a shortage of money.

In Bidenopoly the tokens you play with include the following:

  • A car, but it’s an electric car (Definitely not a Tesla).
  • A dog-faced pony soldier.
  • A laptop computer (A tribute to Hunter Biden).
  • A keffiyeh instead of a top hat.
  • A dog (It’s Commander, Biden’s German Shepherd).
  • A Secret Service Agent with a bleeding hand.
  • A syringe (A reminder to get the latest COVID booster)

There are also changes to the spaces on the playing board.

  • There is no “Go To Jail” space.
  • The “In Jail” space is now, “Released With No Bail.”
  • Instead of two “Tax” squares there are now six.
  • The “Free Parking” space now reads, “Free Parking For Immigrants. All others $200.”
  • There is a “Quarantine Shutdown” square. Land here and you must role a die to see how many turns you lose your right to do business.
  • If you land on “Charge Your Car” you lose eight turns.
  • When you pass “Go” half your salary is redistributed to all players with less money than you.
  • One of the railroads is now “High Speed Rail” but is unfinished so you lose all your turns until you roll a double 3, representing 2033 when the CA train will be operating.

In addition, instead of just red houses and green hotels, there are yellow “Public Housing” blocks. If someone lands on a space where you have Public Housing, the government pays their rent.

While not a rule, players are encouraged to wear face masks while playing to add to the realism.
