Canada’s Medical Assistance In Dying (MAID) industry celebrated another record year as 16,499 people were sent to the great beyond in 2024.

“I credit the hard work and commitment of our euthanasia professionals,” Director of the MAID program, Jim Reaper said. “Without their dedication there would be thousands of Canadians still walking around using up social resources.”

At the MAID center in Toronto the staff celebrated exceeding their record year with “Soylent Green” cookies. When asked if cookies mimicking the food made from people in the Charleston Heston movie was in good taste, the staff all agreed.

“Yeah, they taste great,” someone said and the staff all laughed.

“Tastes like chicken,” quipped another staffer, triggering more laughter.

With 1/20 deaths in Canada now being “assisted,” Reaper touted the benefits.

“Canada’s social network is expensive,” Reaper said. “Think of the millions we’re saving taxpayers, by executing taxpayers.”

Meanwhile, the three drug combination used to “assist” transition to not being alive in Canada, is considered “cruel and unusual punishment” by death penalty opponents in America and tied up in lawsuits.
